Abstract
A flexible water-cooled sunshade comprising, as its major components, a first layer of flexible flat plastic sheet, a second layer of flexible plastic sheet that is preformed to have protrusive fluid channels. The first and the second layers of plastic sheet are sealed along preformed sunken lines on the second layer and edges to form narrow fluid passages which are connected to a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. Cooling water can be supplied to and warm water can be discharged from the sunshade. A plurality of narrow water-cooled sunshade slats can be arranged as a vertical sunblind. The flexible water- cooled sunshade can be rolled or folded for easy transportation. It is suitable for outer wall, window, roof, tent, container, tank coverage applications. The water-cooled sunblind is especially suitable for window and door application. The heated cooling water is collected for beneficial use.
