Abstract
A hot capacity extension POI device and method A hot capacity extension POI device and method are provided. The hot capacity 5 extension POI device comprises an expansion module and a base module. The expansion module is used to classify access signals according to a supportive communication frequency band signal type of the base module and then integrate the signals belonging to the same supportive communication frequency band. The base module is used to combine signals classified and integrated by the expansion 10 module and then to perform frequency mixing output on the signals. Before the base module is accessed, the expansion module is firstly used to filter or combine various service signals for classification. Hence, when new service signals are to be accessed, only signal transmission at an access terminal corresponding to the new service signals needs to be suspended without stopping the transmission of all 15 access signals, so as to prevent being off-line for a long time, thereby seriously affecting use by a user.
