Abstract
Implant Having A Detachable Mechanism The invention relates to an implant (1) to be used for the occlusion of aneu- 5 rysms (A) in blood vessels in the region of vascular branches, in particular bifur- cation aneurysms (A), with the implant (1) being in an expanded state in which it is implanted in the blood vessel and in a contracted state in which it is movable through the blood vessel, with the implant (1) having a proximal fixing section (3) by means of which the implant (1) can be secured to the wall of a blood vessel, a 10 distal section (5) where the implant (1) in expanded state is radially widened rela- tive to the fixing section (3) and which is intended for placement in or in front of the aneurysm (A), and having a transition section (4) located between the fixing section (3) and the distal section (5), wherein fixing section (3) is attached to an introducer sheath (2) in a detachable manner via a 1st detachment point (6) and 15 wherein the transition section (4) having a 2nd detachment point (7) which ena- bles the distal section (5) to be detached. The invention allows the attending phy- sician, depending on the relevant situation, to cause a detachment at the 1st de- tachment point (6) or the 2nd detachment point (7). 20 - Fig. 2b - --------------------
