A topic alarm method, comprising: acquiring a customized keyword; computing similarity levels of the customized keyword and words in a corpus, and acquiring, according to the similarity levels and from the corpus, expansion keywords related to the customized keyword; filtering and selecting, according to the type of the expansion keywords and the similarity levels 5 between the expansion keywords and the customized keyword, a target keyword from the expansion keywords, and adding the same to a target keyword list; performing, according to the target keyword in the target keyword list, real-time monitoring; and when a topic number corresponding to the target keyword reaches a predetermined threshold, providing a topic alarm. 10 FIG. 3
