Abstract

A toll collection system (1) is provided with: a roadside antenna (3a, 3b) that wirelessly communicates with an on-board device (A1) mounted in a vehicle (A); a wireless communication control device (2a, 2b) that carries out predetermined communication processing with the on-board device (A) via the roadside antenna (3a, 3b), acquiring toll collection information regarding the on-board device (A); and a confirmation apparatus (4a, 4b) that is disposed within a range in which wireless communication with the roadside antenna (3a, 3b) is possible, receiving a confirmation signal from the roadside antenna (3a, 3b) and transmitting a response signal.
