Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for embodying a distinct pressure point in a trigger of the type that can be used in a weapon, but that can also be utilised for other applications. In the trigger mechanism as claimed in the present invention, the exceeding of a pressure point is indicated by the breakaway of an object (6, 7, 15, 17) from a magnet (4, 14) to which the object was attached by magnetic attraction. By designing the trigger mechanism with a magnet (4, 14) against which several objects (6, 7, 15, 17) are retained that will be consecutively broken away from the said magnet by the distance travelled by the motion of the trigger, the trigger mechanism can be provided with an optional number of pressure points.
