Abstract

The harvesting machine comprises cutting elements 7, flinging elements 8 to fling the material cut by the cutting elements 7 backward onto a throwing zone, a guide or cover screen 9 above and behind the flinging elements 8, and a tow bar 2 by means of which the harvesting machine can be connected to a tractor so that the harvesting machine can be optionally towed on one or the other side of the tractor's wake during operation. Behind the flinging elements 8 there is a series of essentially vertical, backward directed baffles 11, which extend in the throwing zone, and each of which is separately hinged so that it can swing about an essentially vertical axis 12. Several baffles 11 are mutually joined to produce a joint unidirectional swinging by means of an actuator 16. <IMAGE>
