Abstract
The system comprises a first phase-regulated transmitting device, first, second and third decoupling devices, amplifying devices, first and second phase-regulated antennae, phase-regulated duplexing devices, a second phase-regulated device for receiving signal from the duplexer devices via antenna ports, first and second low power amplifiers (23), and a third phase-regulated device for receiving signals from the second antennae via antenna ports. The first phase-regulated device selects an input signal via a number of beam ports (b1-b8) and splits it into signals for sending via antenna ports (a1-a8), each of the signals having a linear phase difference according to a difference in wavelength distribution. The first decoupling device for receiving an input signal from a base station selects one of the beam ports in the first phase-regulated device and sends it to the chosen beam port in response to a control signal sent from from the base station. The amplifying devices have a pre-determined amplifying factor and are used to amplify signals supplied via the antenna ports in the first phase-regulated device. The first antenna transmits signals from the amplifying devices, associated with which is a spatial output numbering in a direction fir a single-phase plane (27) allowing an effective transmittance sufficient to cover a cell in a controlled direction chosen by the first decoupling device. The first antenna is also used to receive a signal sent from a mobile station. The duplexing device sends signals from the first low power amplifiers to the first antenna, and also receive and send signals from this antenna. Each of the signals received by the second phase-regulated device has a linear phase difference. The second phase-regulated device is also used to allow the signals to be in phase and to strengthen them at a beam port. The second decoupling device selects the strenghtened signal in response to a control signal sent from the base station. The amplifiers are both used to amplify a selected signal and send it to the base station. The second antenna is used to receive a signal sent from a mobile station. Each of the signals received by the third phase-regulated device has a linear phase difference. The third phase-regulated device is also used to allow the signals to be in phase and to strengthen them at a beam port. The third decoupling device selects the strengthened signal in response to a control signal sent from the base station.
