Abstract

An object (1) is placed on a movable object holder (2) and illuminated from below by a bulb (3). A objective (4) images the object on a CCD (5) which has a number of image elements (6) at a mutual center distance. The CCD records images and is connected to a computer (8) with a display (9) and an input means (10). The input means select an area in an image and a resolution. The computer digitally stores in the storage means (11) at least two recorded images, each of the recorded images comprising a number of pixels, and each of the images partly overlapping at least one other image. The two recorded images are joined so that the composite image is an image of the area which is reproduced on the at least two recorded images.
