Abstract

The screw is made from a cylinder of biocompatible material. Its upper end (7) has a drive socket (8) and a length (d) of its upper section (11) is threaded externally to accept an internally threaded spacer for a dental prosthesis; its lower section (6) is externally machined as a bone screw. The upper and lower sections are separated by a plain, unthreaded section with a conically tapered upper surface (9). The associated prosthesis spacer has a matching taper on its lower surface.
