Abstract

Water is heated using electric heating elements (5`) with at least two different lengths, the longer of the elements extending in a non-horizontal direction inside the heater vessel (1). The heating elements are mounted in a single plate (6) fitted in a watertight fashion inside an opening in the vessel mantle.
