Abstract

The coupling (2) comprises a rear part (10) with a connecting section (8), and a front part (12) which is joined to the rear part and includes a central opening (16) for receiving a guide nipple. At least one passage (20) extending through the front part mantle is used to movably receive ball catches (22). A locking sleeve (24) slidably mounted on the outside the coupling housing (4) is used to move catch fixtures between locked and released positions. A spring-loaded sleeve catch (40) is axially movable inside the flow passage (6) of the housing. A valve part (42) movably attached to the sleeve catch can be moved using the sleeve catch between an initial position where it is pressed tight against a valve seat (52) to seal the passage, and an open position.
