Abstract
At least one of the fuel rods (10) inside the cartridge section (14) follows a helical path over at least part of its length. A fuel cartridge section for a boiling water (BWR) nuclear reactor comprises a number of fuel rods (10, 16) and allows a coolant to flow through it. At least one of the fuel rods follows a helical path over at least part of its length. An Independent claim is also included for a fuel cartridge comprises at least one of these cartridge sections.
