Abstract

A radiation shield (28), made from electrically conductive material, partially surrounds a low noise amplifier. The radiation shield is functionally integrated with a radiating antenna element (27) to form an actively radiating section. The low noise amplifier processes the analog radio frequency signals tapped from or fed to the radiating antenna element. An Independent claim is also included for a radio communication apparatus.
