At least one intermediate profile (17) extending between two side edge profiles (15, 16) is integrally formed from the sheet metal material (12). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A method for making lamellar plates (10) for lamellar thickeners, comprises providing sheet metal material with identical side profiles along two length edges (13, 14), and an intermediate profile in between these profiles. At least one intermediate profile is integrally formed from the sheet metal material. Independent claims are also included for (a) a similar method where the sheet metal material used is non-profiled and the intermediate and side profiles are formed as separate profiles joined to the sheet metal by a simple mechanical join, and (b) lamellar plates made by these methods.
