A central computer (2) where authorisation data is stored transmits authorisation information to a radio transmitter (3), which in turn sends this information via a radio network to a receiver provided with a code reader (5). This information from the central computer is then compared with the information obtained by reading a chip-containing transponder (6) with the code reader.
