Abstract

Wires or bands are cut using two horizontally positioned, spring-loaded knives (6, 7) arranged at an angle of 90degrees to each other and designed to be released against the bale after it has been lifted into the cutting position. The machine comprises a device for delivering bales to a wire or band cutting device, a lifting device (5) for raising the bales into the cutting position, and a removal device for the cut wires or bands.
