Abstract

The straps (20,25,26,30) contain a reinforcing structure formed by one or more yarns extending between eyelets at opposite ends, this structure being enclosed in an elastic cover. Spacer elements at the ends of the straps contain a guiding groove for reinforcing structure yarn layers. An Independent claim is also included for a fender containing a shield kept under tension by the above straps, which extend between the shield and quayside.
