Abstract

Two sets of parallel belt runs can be made to extend at a tangent to the belt braking discs by moving the disc rotation axle independently of the pivot position for the arm which one of the belt runs follows. The endless conveyor belt (1) has an elastic intermediate part (3) with a traction force-receiving part (2) on either side. An arm (10) can be pivoted about a first axle (18) in a bracket (19) at its inner end, the bracket being pivotable about a second axles extending at right angles to the first one. The belt includes two parallel runs (9,12) following the arm from two braking discs (8) positioned at the inner end of the arm and mounted on a common rotation axle. The rotation axle is designed to follow the second axle when the arm is pivoted relative to the first axle. A further two parallel belt runs (7, 14) are present, which when the holder is pivoted relative to the second axle, extend at right angles to the two belt runs following the arm. The rotation axle can be moved to allow the two pairs of belt runs to be arranged at a tangent to the respective disc, independently of the pivot position of the arm relative to the first and second axles.
