Abstract

The joint is formed directly between two strips, or via a corner fitting, where the ends of the strips and the optional corner fitting have cooperating joint surfaces. At least one groove runs along the inside of the strip to exit via the joint surfaces, and along the inside of the corner fitting to exit at right angles to its joint surfaces. Connector pieces such as pegs or angled plates are introduced into the grooves to bridge the joint between two adjacent strips or an adjacent strip and corner fitting.
