Abstract

A beam (1) is provided with fasteners (2) at both ends for releasably securing it to the platform walls. A clamp device (7) such as a screw with a press head (6) at its bottom end is used to fix the load into position and is height adjustable with respect to the beam to enable a load lower than the platform walls to be held in position.
