Abstract

The method involves analysing a registered telephone number from a user (11) calling an unavailable mobile station (10). If the mobile station is not accessible, the calling telephone number is used to identify the service operator for that number. A database system in the operator is contacted to retrieve the identity of the caller. The identity is stored (24) and sent to the mobile station as a text message once the mobile station becomes operatively available.
