Abstract

The alloy has specific contents of copper, lead, silicon, aluminium, arsenic, boron and zinc to reduce the ~a-phase content. A brass alloy resistant to zinc leaching comprises 61-66 % copper, 0.5-2 % lead, 0.1-1.5 % silicon, 0.1-1 % aluminium, 0.04-0.2 % arsenic, 1-15 ppm boron, up to 0.5 % other impurities and the balance zinc.
