Abstract
Two or more rockets (3, 5) fired in different directions away from the boat (1) each carry a rescue line or band (16, 17) extending between the rocket and boat. A further line or band (12, 13) is extended out between the rockets so that when the rockets land in the water the rescue area is marked out by the lines or bands. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING - PREFERRED FEATURES : The additional line or band is carried by a third rocket (4) fired in a direction between the other two rockets.
