Abstract

The shielding and inner conductors are removed from two cables, and each central conductor is fitted with a switch and placed in a switch position inside a switch casing (1, 2). At the same time each shielding section is introduced into a part of the switch casing jutting out beyond the central conductors. Switches are brought into contact with each other and the shielding sections are brought into contact with each switch casing to form a direct current blocking arrangement by having one casing connected to the other via one or more capacitors (21, 22). An Independent claim is also included for direct current blocking arrangement used in this method.
