Abstract

An internet browser containing receiver and formatting modules is used to convert standard teletext data into a computer graphics display. Unformatted standard teletext data is received by a teletext television module in an internet browser and the individual incoming characters are rendered as either control or displayable characters, the latter being converted into a graphics display by a formatting module.
