Abstract

The suction valve is urged against its seat by a compression piston acting upon a press disc. A spring and stop pin are used to cushion the valve during closure and to keep the valve pressed against its seat. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A vacuum device contains separate compression piston (1) and press disc (2) components for operating a suction valve (3) with the aid of a support spring (4) and stop pin (5). The compression piston exerts a pressure on the press disc, which with the aid of the spring helps create a lifting lever effect, so that the suction valve is closed against its valve seat (8) to seal the cylinder opening from the metal channel (39). The stop pin prevents the press disc from being moved in for longer than is needed for the suction valve to be urged against its seat. The spring keeps the suction valve urged against its seat.
