Abstract

A first manoeuvring device (1) delivers a first category of timber in the cross-direction onto a conveyor (3). A second manoeuvring device (4) containing one or more elongated transport elements spaced apart in the conveyor transport direction, extending towards the first device, is used to supply the first category of timber to the first device. A first transport element (7) has a first end section (8) moves the first category by a first end (10) away from the first device to allow timber of the second category to pass the first category of timber in the conveyor cross-direction. Other transport elements allow the second category of timber to pass under the first category.
