Abstract
The invention concerns a device controlling a flow of electrostatically charged particles issued from a sprayhead (5), and it is particularly intended for use in powder coating operations wherein spray guns are utilised. The device is characterized by a deflector means (1) in the form of an impingement body having a surface spreading crosswise relative to the direction of travel of the flow (7), said deflector means being positioned adjacent the mouth(s) of the sprayhead (5) and extending at an acute angle ( phi ) with respect to the direction of travel of the flow (7) being discharged from the sprayhead. This arrangement provides a more favourable flow pattern in powder coating of objects.
