Abstract

Different axle rotation speeds cause the exit of fluid from a pump, which is modulated by passing it through a nozzle opening in a housing. A piston can be moved in and out of this opening in an axial direction, the cooperating glide surfaces of the piston and opening combining to form a seal between the pressurised and non-pressurised sides of the construction. At least one channel provided inside the piston extends from an inlet at the interface between the opening and piston, to an outlet at the front end of the piston. As the piston is moved against a spring force (54) the outlet is closed at the interface.
