Abstract
Several single carrier power amplifiers are coupled in equal steps by transmitter combiners of the Wilkinson type. They are coupled to a multi-carrier power amplifier connected with a combiner network. The network is symmetrical to provide for equal amplification of the multi-carrier power amplifier channels. An expansion unit allows more single carrier power amplifiers to be added. - A control unit receives the information from a detector connected to the outputs of the amplifiers controlling the bias of the amplifiers.
