Abstract

A stator includes a stator core and a winding, and a rotor in which the stator core is provided with stator teeth extending radially inwards towards the rotor. Each stator tooth (3) is configured as a number of tooth sections joined axially into a stator tooth plank. - A number of stator tooth planks are fitted together side by side thus forming a section (1A,1B,1C,1D) of a stator core or a complete stator core. An electric field is generated which is enclosed within the winding (14) for at least one turn of the winding.
