Abstract

The communication equipment also incorporates a second device (119) for maintaining communication with another mobile radio communication equipment over a second communication interface. A first control device transmits at least a predetermined amount of the stored specific information to the second mobile radio communication equipment over the second communication interface. - The second communication device (119) incorporates an electrical connecting unit to which an electrical cable can be coupled for communications between the communication device and the other mobile radio communication equipments. The second communication device also incorporates an optical communication link between it and the other mobile radio communication equipments. The optical link works within the infra-red spectrum. The equipment conforms to the generally accepted standard known as PLMN - Public land mobile network and PSTN - Public switched telephone network.
