Abstract

An evacuation device for people in emergencies, comprising a number of elongate lines extending out from a frame and a number of rigid stepping means (11) hung crosswise between the lines (10). The step members (11) extend in a ring to allow for climbing along the ring periphery. The distance between the step members (11) in the longitudinal direction of the lines and the distance between the lines (10) are sufficient so as to allow for climbing between the step members (11).
