Abstract

A method for making glass objects, eg bottles, in a parison mould 1 comprising collecting a gob of glass from the exit of a melting oven and deposited it in a shaping mould 2 made of at least two laterally movable parts to shape the gob for ease of entry to the parison mould and then conveying the shaped gob 4 via chute 3,6,7 to the parison mould 1.
