Abstract
The method involves controlling an output voltage value of the linear solenoid on the basis of a difference between a current command value fed to the solenoid and set according to a vehicle drive state, and a current feedback value monitored with reference to a current value fed to the solenoid. An increase in the solenoid drive current is limited such that when this drive current is increased or reduced to a target current value the variation of the drive current over time is limited within a range and no pressure jump of the output oil pressure is caused through the solenoid. The increase in drive current may be represented by a sweep step. Alternatively the increase in drive current may be represented by a balancing for a linear delay.
