Abstract
The distance between the two arms or plates (5`, 6`) attached to them is altered so that they are moved closer towards a machined piece of raw material being held in the chuck. This distance is then utilised in a subsequent machining process. The work tool arrangement used for carrying out this procedure consists of a U-shaped main part that has plates screwed to its arms. The plates can be moved along grooves (4c`, 4d`) extending in the length direction of the arm, diverging outwards at an angle of 50-60 deg.C. In order to leave a selected distance between the plates they are oriented closer to the edge sections of the main part than at the small gap between them.
