Abstract

The present invention relates to a resource reallocation scheme and arrangement in a communications network in which network nodes may control their resource ownership and usage and communicate with each other without severely reducing the amount of resources. The invention comprises the steps of assigning priorities to at least a first node (Node i-1) and a second node (Node i), calculating a quotient of resources as the amount of resources of the first node (Node i-1) divided by the amount of resources of the second node (Node i), calculating a quotient of prio ri ties as the priority of the first node (Node i-1) divided by the priority of the second node (Node i), transferring resources from the first node (Node i-1) to the second node (Node i) in dependence of the quotient of resources being larger than the quotient of priorities, and transferring resources from the second node (Node i) to the first node (Node i-1) in d ependence of the quotient of resources being smaller than the quotient of priorities.
