Abstract

The plate is fitted in a wheelchair so that its bottom side is facing the seat whilst its top side (10) is facing the legs and pelvis of the person sitting in the wheelchair. The front region (8) of the plate acts as a first support surface (12) for the legs and the rear region (16) acts as a second support surface (16) for the pelvis. The side edges (22) of the plate are joined to the wheelchair. A depression in the rear region is provided for the pelvis. A section (28) is also cut out of the first support surface.
