Abstract

The vehicle (1) has an open side covered with a canvas frame (12) that contains a rear flap (13) opened from the outside. The tailgate (2) folds down to lie flat and form an extension (3) of the load carrying surface in the back of the vehicle. A removable canopy (8) with side, top and bottom walls (9-11) leaving one side open can be fitted to protect the goods resting on the tailgate. The wall (11) forming the top surface of the canopy is level with the bottom (14) of the rear flap in the canvas to allow it to be opened and closed without the canopy getting in the way.
