Abstract
Segment body (10; 16) for cutting, said segment body including diamond particles that are embedded in a binder, said diamond particles and their binder being subjected on one hand to pressing and on the other hand to sintering. Segment bodies of the type mentioned above are mounted for instance upon circular saw blades for sawing of concrete. The segment bodies may also be designed as so called beads for mounting on a wire that also often is used for sawing of concrete. In connection with these known segment bodies cobalt is normally used as binder. The present invention is characterized in that the diamond particles are coated by a metal cover and that the binder consists of a Fe-based powder.
