Abstract

The cooling convector element has a cooling battery located in a housing which allows the flow of room air over the cooling battery. Deflectors guide cooled room air. Feed devices (18) increase the flow speed of the cooling air over the battery. The single feed device for feed air has a pipe which extends in the longitudinal direction of the element and has a number of outlet openings which are spaced out in the longitudinal direction and direct the feed air downwards in the direction of a tapering slit which is defined by at least one of the deflecting devices. Through the slit, circulating room air is passed back into the room in an approximately horizontal direction. The pipe has the basic shape of a cylinder with lugs extending in its longitudinal direction and protruding from the surface of the cylinder on an imaginary horizontal diameter.
