Abstract

The device is for different nail sizes and types, conically or ball-headed. A spring-activated drive unit is fitted in a guide socket (1) threaded together with a spring socket (2). The guide socket and the spring socket are made of injection-moulded, blow-resistant plastic. The guide socket has a cast-in permanent magnet socket (10) for magnetising the drive spike (4). The drive unit comprises a concavely pointed, magnetisable drive spike (4) of steel cast-into a spring unit (12) in injection-moulded, blow-resistant plastic, which is reinforced by a cast-in steel body. In the spring unit (12), the drive spike (4) and the steel body are distanced from one another so that the magnetisation is concentrated on the drive spike.
