Abstract

The scraper incorporates a ring-shaped body (1) of elastic sealing material to which is connected a ring-shaped reinforcement component (4). The body of sealing material has a ring-shaped sealing lip 93) for location against the connecting rod or shaft. The ring-shaped reinforcement component has the form of a conical plate (4). The plate is so connected with the ring-shaped body of sealing material that when the body is inserted in an assembly track an outer edge (10) of the plate engages the track walls and counteracts the outward pressing of the sealing body (1).
