Abstract

The information via the telecommunication system is presented for a user of the terminal. A portable computer is incorporated which is provided with a telecommunication modem and an Internet WWW reader. The computer can be coupled to the portable terminal when it receives the information from the Internet via the telecommunication network. The portable computer uses a GSM modem and the portable terminal is a GSM telephone. The system incorporates a SP, a WWW server, an IDB and an IP. The WWW server communicates via GSM with the portable computer. The WWW server holds the whole time information from the GSM network concerning in which geographical area the GSM telephone is located. The IDB receives information concerning the geographical area from the IP.
