Abstract

A suction nozzle for retrieving cleaning liquid or the like comprises an elongated body 2 with a connecting means 5 to a suction hose (not shown), a pair of cleaning blades 3, 4 mounted to the body 2 by reinforcing segment elements 8, 9, 10, 11. The connection between the elements 8, 9, 10, 11 may be snap-in, rivets, screws or the like. The connection between the elements 8, 10 and the main body 2 may be a slot-in profile projection profile recess arrangement (not shown). The blade 4 is of a curved configuration and is intended to be the rear of the two blades. Both blades 3, 4 extend beyond the housing at 20 and abut tightly by virtue of there relative angle providing a soft edge so as not to damage skirting boards or the like. The body 2 is able to swivel on a vertical axis about its middle and a horizontal axis so as to allow liquid to pass under the front blade 3 when moving forward. Additionally the blade may also have vertical slots to further aid the passage of liquid. The body 2 is made from a non-flexible material such as metal while the blades may be made from para-rubber.
