A holder (2) pivots in a frame, while the saw-chain (4) runs round a blade and is power-driven. - A ram (7) causes the blade to pivot for cutting through a log (44). A blade-type arm (41) supplying the liquid extends along the blade and is fixed to the holder, and contains several passages (45) and one or more outlets for the liquid onto the cut surface.(Dwg.1)
