Abstract

The optical fibres (1) in the bunch (7) have an equally sized surface towards the skin as towards the radiation source or have a greater surface towards the radiation source than towards the skin. - The device has one or more cooling units (6) which conduct heat away from it. The bunch of optical fibres is held together by a flexible holder, which to a specific extent permits the individual optical fibres (1) to be bent independently of one another. The distance between the radiation source and the fibre ends for ingoing light or photons (3) is determined, inter alia, by the radiation source, heat development in the source, cooling and required light intensity on the treated area. The distance can be regulated within a specific interval with the aid of a holder (9) in which the fibres or fibre bunch are/is fixed.
