Abstract

The sealing component comprises a strip (2) with rectangular cross-section. The strip is pliable in its main plane which is parallel to the cross-section long edges. The one narrow edge of the strip has a rubber-elastic sealing profile (3), the compression resistance of which is much lower than of the strip. The strip has a plain locating surface (21), with which it rests on the frame piece/threshold (5). The rubber-elastic sealing profile extends downwards past the locating surface and has a thickness which is greater than the width of normally occurring gaps between the arch/door panel (6) and the frame piece/threshold rabbet surface against which the arc/door panel locates.
