Abstract

For accomplishing feeding of a controlled or dosed quantity of sand to a water jet cutting tool, pressurized air with a controlled pressure is blown obliquely forwards in a channel (28) in a dosing insert (16) through a first bore (34) for creating a whirling injector action in the channel, to which sand is fed. At the same time surrounding air is sucked in through a second bore (36) to the channel in the vicinity of the first bore for increasing the sub-atmospheric pressure in the channel, decreasing the air speed and increasing the volume.
